Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of alexandrianwitchcraft.com: the archive, the Inner Circle membership, the community features and events booked through the site. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy. By using the site, creating an account, contributing material or purchasing a membership or ticket, you agree to be bound by them.
Last updated 1 July 2026.
1. Who we are
alexandrianwitchcraft.com (the “Site”) is operated by Rose Ankh Publishing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company registration and registered office details are available on request) (“we”, “us”, “our”), publisher of Sharon Day's work and custodian of the Alexandrian archive. You can contact us at info@alexandrianwitchcraft.org.
These terms form a contract between you and us. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
2. Definitions
- the Archive
- the collection of historical documents, images, correspondence and other material published on the Site.
- the Inner Circle
- the paid membership described at /inner-circle, comprising recorded modules, live events and community access.
- Member
- anyone with a registered account on the Site, whether or not they hold a paid Inner Circle membership.
- Contributor
- anyone who submits material to the Archive through the contribution form.
- Content
- text, images, audio, video and other material made available through the Site, whether by us or by Contributors.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to register an account, contribute material, join the Inner Circle or book a ticketed event. The Site and the tradition it documents are adult subject matter.
When you register, you agree to give accurate information and to keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account. Tell us straight away at info@alexandrianwitchcraft.org if you suspect unauthorised use.
Accounts are managed through our authentication provider, Supabase. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, or is inactive for an extended period.
4. Using the Archive
The Archive is made available for personal, non-commercial research, study and appreciation of the Alexandrian tradition. You may view, and where the Site provides for it, print or download individual entries for those personal purposes.
- You may not scrape, bulk-download, mirror or systematically extract Archive content by automated means.
- You may not republish, sell, sublicense or otherwise redistribute Archive material without our prior written consent, and without preserving any attribution or rights-holder credit we display.
- Where an entry credits a named rights holder, that holder retains their rights in the underlying material; our licence to display it does not transfer ownership to us or to you.
If you believe material in the Archive infringes your rights, or has been attributed incorrectly, contact us at info@alexandrianwitchcraft.org and we will investigate.
5. Contributing material
If you submit material through the contribution form, you confirm that you own the rights to it, or have the rights holder’s permission to share it, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, store, reproduce and publish it as part of the Archive, with credit given as you specify.
Submissions are reviewed before publication. We are under no obligation to publish any submission, and may decline, edit for clarity, or request more information before an item is added. You can ask us to remove a contribution you made at any time; we will do so unless we have an overriding legal reason to retain it.
Do not submit material you do not have the right to share, or material that is defamatory, infringing, or contains other people’s personal data without their consent.
6. The Inner Circle membership
The Inner Circle is a paid subscription giving access to recorded teaching modules, the members’ library and priority access to live events. Current pricing and billing periods (monthly or annual) are shown at checkout, and that displayed price governs your purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not prorate part-used periods except where required by law.
We may add, retire or update individual modules over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing content that is central to the membership offer, but the Inner Circle is a evolving library rather than a fixed, unchanging set of files.
Where you are a UK or EU consumer buying a digital subscription, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel for a full refund from the date of purchase. Because access to modules begins immediately, by completing checkout you expressly ask us to begin supplying the membership straight away and acknowledge that you lose this cancellation right once you have started accessing paid content, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (or the equivalent in your country). Your right to cancel future renewals at any time, as described above, is unaffected.
7. Payment, billing and refunds
Payments for memberships, event tickets and any other paid products are processed by our payment providers, PayPal and Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; they are handled directly by those providers under their own terms and privacy notices.
- By providing payment details you authorise us (via PayPal or Stripe, as applicable) to take the payments described at checkout, including recurring subscription charges until you cancel.
- If a payment fails or is declined, we may suspend Inner Circle access until it is resolved, and will email you to let you know.
- Refunds are considered case by case and are not automatic outside the statutory cancellation right described in Section 6, or where content or an event is materially not as described.
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Where applicable, you are responsible for any taxes not already included in the displayed price.
8. Events and tickets
We run online and in-person events, including the Seekers’ Soirée, Book Talks and occasional gatherings such as public talks. Some are free to Inner Circle members and ticketed for non-members; others may be ticketed for everyone. Ticket prices, dates and any transfer or refund terms specific to an event are shown at the time of booking.
For in-person events, you attend at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct, wellbeing and belongings. We may ask attendees to leave a venue or online session for behaviour that breaches Section 9 (Acceptable use), without a refund.
We may photograph or record events for archival or promotional use. Where we do, we will say so at the event; tell the organiser on the day if you do not wish to appear, and we will do our reasonable best to accommodate that.
If we have to cancel or reschedule an event, we will notify ticket holders and offer a refund or transfer to the rescheduled date.
9. Acceptable use
When using the Site, our Discord community or our events, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten or abuse other members, contributors, presenters or staff;
- post or submit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with the tradition or with us;
- attempt to bypass membership gating, security measures or access controls;
- use the Site or Archive for commercial data-mining, resale or bulk redistribution not permitted under Section 4;
- upload material containing viruses, malware or other harmful code.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches this section, without refund.
10. Discord community
Inner Circle members may link a Discord account to receive a members’ role in our Discord server. Discord is a separate service operated by Discord Inc., governed by its own terms and privacy policy, which you should read separately.
We may revoke the Inner Circle role, or remove you from the server, if your membership lapses or you breach these terms or our community guidelines there.
11. Intellectual property
The Site’s design, software, branding and any original written content we publish are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Archive material remains subject to the rights described in Section 4.
“Alexandrian Witchcraft”, related marks and the Rose Ankh Publishing name may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
12. Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party services to operate, each governed by its own terms:
- Supabase
- database, authentication and file storage for accounts, contributions and archive media.
- Vercel
- website hosting.
- Mux / Vimeo
- hosting and streaming of gated video for the library; we store only a reference to your playback session, not the video file itself.
- PayPal / Stripe
- payment processing for memberships and tickets.
- Resend
- transactional email (account, billing and event notifications).
- Klaviyo
- marketing email, where you have opted in.
- Google Analytics (GA4) / Meta Pixel
- site analytics and advertising measurement.
- Discord
- the members’ community server.
We are not responsible for the availability, content or acts of these third parties, though we choose and monitor them with care. See our Privacy Policy for what we share with each.
13. Disclaimers
The tradition documented on this Site is a private, lineaged initiatory practice. Nothing on the Site is an offer of initiation, membership of a coven, or a guarantee of any spiritual outcome; the Inner Circle is an educational and archival resource, not a substitute for lineaged training.
Content on the Site is provided for historical, educational and community purposes. It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and you should seek appropriate professional advice for those matters.
The Site and Archive are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of every historical inaccuracy inherent in archival material, though we take reasonable care over accuracy.
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Site, the Archive, the Inner Circle or an event. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a paid membership or ticket is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or material you submit that infringes another person’s rights.
16. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us or, where available, from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where we reasonably believe it is being used unlawfully. Where we do so for reasons other than your breach, we will give reasonable notice where practical.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as we add new products, services or payment providers. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date, and where a change materially affects Inner Circle members we will make reasonable efforts to notify them by email before it takes effect.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
